Due notizie arrivano dal Regno Unito. La prima riguarda il birrificio Meantime. Ad agosto dello scorso anno è arrivata la notizia del trasferimento della sede di produzione dello storico birrificio londinese a Blackwall Lane. Il nuovo stabilimento è ormai a pieno regime e da qualche giorno è possibile per chi lo volesse visitarlo. Ogni martedì mattina, infatti, vengono organizzate visite guidate di circa due ore che consentono di meglio comprendere come funziona il nuovo impianto. Highway to Ale is the name of the Birtish pub that Ales and Co. manages into the Pavillon 1 during Slow Food's Salone del Gusto 2010 (Lingotto Fiere - via Nizza, 280 - october 21^st- 28). A real British pub where it is possible to choose into a selection of 20 beers (Real ales and tap beers) produced by Orkney, Brewdog, St Peter's and Ridgeway.

In addition to these you can find all the bottled beers imported by Ales and Co. and ciders by Cornish Orchards.

Finally, Real ales are protagonist of the Taste Workshop Into the Mild (LGS20, october 21^st, 7 p.m.). During the workshop you are guided into the world of one of the most ancient beer style of the world: that of the mild. A not-to-be-missed event to taste some milds imported for the first time in Italy as Tryst, Hoggleys, Spire e Pitfield.

Il Great British Beer Festival organizzato dal Camra è uno dei più importanti eventi birrai d'Europa. Come ogni anno la giuria del festival, presieduta dal famoso giornalista inglese Roger Protz,  ha premiato quelle che vengono considerate le migliori birre dell'anno.
